Natural Gas Engineer:The firm seeks a BS Civil or Mechanical Engineering graduate (with EIT certification desirable) to work in the Duluth, GA offices of Keck & Wood, Inc. The candidate will work with natural gas engineers, designers and AutoCAD drafters in design activities and project management duties. The assignment would be in a Public Works/Natural Gas engineering design group. The candidate will work primarily in the office but will occasionally travel to project sites for construction review and project administration. Extensive overnight travel is unlikely.
This position will involve Natural Gas Distribution System design and project administration, working in a team environment with a Professional Engineer mentor. Design activities will include use of state-of-the-art design software and equipment. Projects will include gas system expansions and improvements, partial system replacements and relocations and metering and regulating station design. Assignments will include both office-based work and fieldwork to review construction activity throughout Georgia. Specific natural gas public utility experience is required. Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is desirable. The candidate should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
This position is full-time (40 hours per week). Salary dependent on experience.
